President Dr. Arif Alvi on Fri confirmed the cancellation of the sentence for the crime of tried suicide. the choice was declared on an equivalent day through the President’s official Twitter account.

According to the tweet, President Alvi approved the Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2022, and also the Foreign Investment (Promotion and Protection) modification Bill, 2022.
